Delete your account
Last updated: August 8, 2026
This page explains how to permanently delete your Inmersy account and everything associated with it. Inmersy is operated by Ignacio Amezcua Martínez.
Delete only part of your data
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. Two things are under your control at any time:
What the tutor remembers about you
The tutor keeps a short list of lasting facts about you — where you live, your hobbies, your goals — so conversations feel personal. To erase all of them:
- Open Inmersy and sign in
- Go to Settings → Profile
- Find Tutor memory and choose Forget everything
They are erased immediately and permanently. The same panel has a switch to stop the tutor remembering anything new, without deleting your account or losing your progress.
Your conversation history
Conversations with the tutor are deleted automatically 30 days after they happen, and so are the records of any voice messages. You do not have to do anything — nothing older than 30 days is kept.
Delete your whole account
Option 1 — Delete it yourself, from the app
This is immediate and does not require contacting anyone.
- Open Inmersy and sign in
- Go to Settings → Account
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account
- Confirm. Your account and data are removed straight away
Option 2 — Ask us to do it
If you cannot sign in, write to info@spanishnacho.com from the email address of the account you want deleted, and say that you want it deleted. We will confirm once it is done, normally within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Everything below is erased permanently and cannot be recovered:
- Your account and profile — name, email, phone number, level and preferences
- Your entire conversation history with the AI tutor
- Learning progress, scores, XP, streak and achievements
- Saved vocabulary and flashcards
- Unfinished exercise drafts
- Messages, replies and likes you posted in the Community
- Speaking history and voice message records
- Weekly replies to Nacho, goals and session summaries
- Push notification subscriptions
- Any reports you submitted about AI or community content
Voice recordings are never stored in the first place: audio is sent for transcription and discarded in the same request.
What we keep, and for how long
- Billing and invoice records — kept for up to 6 years. Spanish tax and commercial law requires this, and it applies regardless of account deletion. These are held by our payment provider, Stripe, and contain no learning data.
- Internal moderation records — if your content was reported by another user, the record of that report is kept but is unlinked from your account, so it can no longer be traced back to you.
- Aggregate analytics — anonymous usage statistics that were never tied to your identity and cannot be linked back to you.
If you have an active subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription automatically. Cancel it first at Settings → Account, or write to us and we will take care of both.
